Coming out of the long period of Covid lock down, I was in desperate need of a place where my kids could go and interact with other peers in a fun and safe environment. Ms. Lederer provided this and much more! Her summer program was filled with creativity and engaging hands-on activities that my kids would cry when I would come to pick them up and count down the minutes until they could go back.

Bené is one of those rare individuals who is able to create and teach content that students enjoy so much that they often don’t realize how much they are actually learning. She has remarkable passion and enthusiasm toward teaching, which creates a very relaxed and fun environment that any child can prosper in. Whether it be in the classroom, or in her summer camp programming, Bené’s teaching approach boasts students’ confidence and creativity and I feel very fortunate that my daughter was able to benefit from her teaching.

After coming out of covid lockdown and entering 1st grade, my daughter was really struggling with her reading. I was so amazed that only after 2 months of Ms. Lederer’s dedication and differentiated teaching, Quinn was a superstar reader! Quinn continued to do book club with Ms Lederer the summer following first grade which kept her very interested and focused. Ms. Lederer planned fun, creative, and engaging activities for the children that really helped to set the foundations for Quinn and help her to develop a true love for reading!  We cannot say enough wonderful things about Ms Lederer!

I had heard about the amazing summer programing that Ms. Lederer was offering ,including her book clubs  and her daily camp. I was eager to sign my child up. Shane however is very shy, and gets anxious about new environments, so I wasn’t sure how this would go. Ms. Lederer spent over 20 minutes with me on the phone hearing about my concerns and discussing how we could approach this.  She asked me questions to really get to know Shane as well. From this phone call alone, Ms. Lederer’s passion for what she does and nurturing heart were very clear. I knew Shane was going to be in great hands! On the first day, she greeted Shane with a warm and big smile and got him engaged in conversation right away about what his favorite sport was, what he liked, etc. and even laughing too! She then held his hand and led him over to his group. Shane didn’t even look back and from the distance I could see his big smile glowing across the room! This was a first for Shane, and it truly made me a proud Mommy! It is very evident that Ms. Lederer has a true natural talent for working with kids, and I am so grateful that Shane got to be exposed to her teaching!

As soon as we met Bene as my son’s teacher, we knew she was special.  She has a way of engaging children and making each one feel special and understood.  We knew we couldn’t have her out of our lives, so when she was no longer my son’s teacher, we hired her to tutor both my son and daughter.  She always made them feel comfortable and really helped to grow their love of learning and their confidence. She came extremely prepared each week and gently pushed them out of their comfort zone to challenge them.  You can see Bene’s passion for teaching when she is with her students and any child that has the opportunity to work with her is extremely fortunate.

Bene is kind, compassionate, loving, and can connect with each child to ensure maximum potential is reached regardless of how many kids are in the group.  Her passion and commitment to kids is exceptional and it is seen and felt when you see Bene in action. Learning through fun activities and exercises is exciting for kids of all ages. Once you see Bene in action, you will not be disappointed!
